Youth Mobility Scheme

For Canadian citizens aged 18-35. Allows you to live and work in the UK for up to 3 years. One of the most flexible routes for young professionals.

Skilled Worker

Requires a job offer and sponsorship t? a UK employer. Points-based system favoring skilled roles.

HPI Visa

High Potential Individual. For graduates from prestigious global universities outside the UK in the last 5 years.

Valid Canadian Passport

Proof of Savings (£2,535)

No children under 18 living with you or for whom you're responsible

Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) payment

TB test (only if residing in high-risk areas recently)

Preparation Steps

Online Application

Apply online through GOV.UK. You can apply up to 6 months before you plan to arrive in the UK.

Fees & IHS

Pay the visa application fee (£298) and the health surcharge (£776 per year) to use the NHS.

ID Check or Appointment

Complete your identity check using the GOV.UK app or at a VFS Global center (Toronto, Vancouver, etc.).

Visa Vignette

Wait for approval (usually 3 weeks). You'll receive a visa sticker in your passport to travel to the UK.
