German citizens have specialized pathways including the Employment Gold Card, the Working Holiday Visa, and the Resident Visa for Employment. The Working Holiday scheme offers up to 500 spots annually.
For top professionals in Tech, Science, Culture, etc. Open work permit for 1-3 years. Includes re-entry and resident status.
Allows Germans (18-30) to work and travel for 1 year. Annual quota: 500 places. Requires proof of €4,000+ funds.
Standard Resident Visa for individuals with a job offer from a registered Taiwanese company. Employer must apply to the WDA.
The employer in Taiwan applies for your work permit via the Workforce Development Agency portal.
Submit your Resident Visa application at the Taipei Representative Office (Taipeh Vertretung) in Berlin, Hamburg, or Munich.
Enter Taiwan and complete requisite entry formalities.
Apply for your Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at the National Immigration Agency within 30 days of arrival.
