Hong Kong residents of Chinese nationality typically use the Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents to enter and work in the Mainland without a visa. Since 2018, the requirement for a specific "Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Citizens' Work Permit" has been abolished.
For HK residents living in the Mainland for >6 months. Provides access to social services, social security, and housing funds.

HK residents can be directly employed by Mainland entities using their Home Return Permit. No separate work visa is required.
