New Zealand citizens can apply for the Working Holiday Visa (limited to 6 months), the Red-White-Red Card, or the EU Blue Card.
The points-based migration system for skilled workers. Based on factors like qualifications, experience, age, and language knowledge.
For New Zealanders aged 18-30. Allows you to work and travel for up to 6 months (shorter than other nationalities due to bilateral terms). The scheme is designed for cultural exchange and short-term work.
For "Very Highly Qualified Workers" to stay for 6 months to search for a job. Requires high points (70/100).
Submit your Red-White-Red Card application at the Austrian Embassy in Australia (as there is no full visa embassy in NZ) or via a Consulate.
Qualifications and job details are reviewed by the Austrian Public Employment Service (AMS).
If approved, you receive a Visa D for entry. NZ citizens can also enter visa-free to finalize local steps.
Collect your RWR residence permit card from the local authority (Magistrat/BH) in Austria.
