Work & Residency Pathways for New Zealand Citizens

New Zealand citizens have several pathways: the Employment Gold Card, the Working Holiday Visa, and the standard Resident Visa for Employment. The Working Holiday scheme offers up to 600 spots annually.
For top professionals in Tech, Economy, Education, etc. Open work permit for 1-3 years. Includes residency and re-entry status.
Allows NZ youth (18-30) to work and travel for 1 year. Annual quota: 600 places. Single extension often available.
Standard sponsorship visa for individuals with a job offer from a registered Taiwanese corporate entity.
The employer in Taiwan applies for your work permit via the Workforce Development Agency (WDA) online.
Once the permit is ready, apply for a Resident Visa at your local TECO in New Zealand (Wellington or Auckland).
Enter Taiwan and complete requisite entry and arrival procedures.
Apply for your Alien Resident Certificate (ARC) at the National Immigration Agency within 30 days of arrival.
