Information based on current research for Taiwan residents wishing to live and work in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Taiwan residents have access to the Working Holiday Visa, the EU Blue Card, and the Opportunity Card. Applicants must obtain a Long-Stay (D) Visa from the German Institute Taipei before departing for Germany.
For highly qualified workers with a degree recognized in Germany and a job offer from a German employer meeting salary requirements.
The points-based "Chancenkarte". Allows you to search for a job in Germany for up to 1 year while working part-time.
Allows Taiwan youth (18-30) to work and travel for 1 year. Annual quota: 500 places. Requires proof of €4,000+ funds.
Verify your degree or vocational training via the Anabin database or ZAB evaluation.
Submit your application for a National (D) Visa at the German Institute Taipei. Personal interview required.
Enter Germany and register your address (Anmeldung) at the local Citizens' Office (Bürgeramt) within 2 weeks.
Convert your entry visa into a long-term residence permit at the local Immigration Office (Ausländerbehörde).
